━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ TIER 1: DIRECT REVENUE ACTIVITIES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
These activities directly lead to money:
📧 SENDING OUTREACH MESSAGES Impact: High (leads = clients = money) Time: 10 min per 5 messages Priority: DAILY, non-negotiable
Why it matters: → No outreach = no leads → No leads = no clients → No clients = no money
Minimum daily: 5 messages Target: 50 messages/week
📞 DISCOVERY CALLS Impact: Very High (this is where you close) Time: 15-20 min each Priority: Schedule ASAP, never reschedule
Why it matters: → Calls convert at 25-50% → 4 calls = 1-2 clients = $500-1,000 → Every call you skip = $250-500 lost
Minimum: 2 calls/week Target: 4-5 calls/week
💼 DELIVERING CLIENT WORK Impact: Very High (get paid + testimonials) Time: Varies by project Priority: Always #1 when you have clients
Why it matters: → Paid work = money → Happy clients = testimonials → Testimonials = more clients → Late delivery = bad reputation
Rule: Deliver early, overdeliver on value
💰 FOLLOWING UP WITH HOT LEADS Impact: High (warm leads convert 2-3x better) Time: 5-10 min per follow-up Priority: Within 2 hours of their response
Why it matters: → Someone who replied is interested → Fast response = professionalism → Slow response = they go cold or hire someone else
Rule: Respond to leads within 2 hours max
📊 CREATING PORTFOLIO/CASE STUDIES Impact: High (credibility = trust = sales) Time: 3-4 hours for 1 good case study Priority: Week 1-2 (then maintaining)
Why it matters: → "Show me your work" is first question → No portfolio = no trust = no sale → 1 strong case study > 10 weak ones
Minimum: 1 case study before first outreach
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ TIER 2: MEDIUM-IMPACT TASKS (Do If Time Permits) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
These help but don't directly make money:
→ Learning new skills → Improving your offer/pricing → Building systems/templates → Networking in communities → Creating content (posts, videos) → Optimizing your process
Do these when: ✓ You've hit your weekly outreach target (50+ messages) ✓ You have no urgent client work ✓ You have extra weekend time
Don't do these when: ✗ You haven't sent outreach today ✗ You have client deadlines approaching ✗ You're avoiding outreach (procrastination trap)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ TIER 3: LOW-IMPACT TASKS (Skip or Delegate Later) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
These feel productive but are mostly waste:
❌ Perfecting your logo ❌ Building elaborate website ❌ Researching "best practices" endlessly ❌ Reading every freelance book ❌ Watching YouTube tutorials for hours ❌ Overthinking your niche ❌ Redesigning your offer 10 times ❌ Organizing your Notion "just right" ❌ Comparing yourself to other freelancers ❌ Scrolling LinkedIn for "inspiration"
These are PROCRASTINATION disguised as work.
Rule: If it doesn't directly lead to: → Sending messages to potential clients → Talking to potential clients → Delivering work for paying clients → Building portfolio to get clients
...then it's probably low-impact. Skip it.
